  • “A more accomodating host you could not wish for. Clean, tidy and homely surroundings. Value for money and a hearty breakfast to send us on our way. We would happily recommend this to anyone.” Sol & Kate – Manchester

  • “I’ve stayed at the Marine House every year for the past 4 years. The proprietors are lovely people. Breakfast is great — Irene will make exactly what you like, whether you’re a vegan or a meat-lover. I’m partial to her sausage & scrambled eggs. The house is always clean and the people are super friendly. It’s very conveniently located to Queens University (only about 7 minutes walking) and downtown (5 minutes via cab or about 30 minutes walking). Great restaurants nearby, laundry down the street (but be careful — they’ll dry everything on high heat at the laundromat and shrink your clothes). Neighborhood feels very safe. I’ve gone with colleagues, with my husband, and with 23 college students. No one has ever had a negative thing to say about Marine House!” DDSB – Santa Barbara, California, USA

  • This B&B is the best by far that I stayed in while traveling in Ireland. The hostess pleasantly accepted our late arrival and we were shown to an enormous room fit for a queen. The location is prime–right in the midst of the University area. If you are in Belfast–The Marine House is THE place to stay! A TripAdvisor Member – Boston – USA

  • I have had the pleasure to stay at Marine House on several occasions, even taking my parents there on our trip to Ireland. The staff is wonderful and the accommodations are great. I look forward to my visits to Northern Ireland even more because I know I can feel comfortable here at Marine House. For those doing Family History research, the location is perfect, halfway between the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland and the downtown area of Belfast with several research centers. • We were greeted at the door by Nat – a hard working, spry, elderly gentleman. Nat’s initial demeanor was formal, but he warmed up quickly and became charming, with a delightful sense of humor. He gave us a brief tour of his nicely decorated, beautiful home with large rooms and 12 foot ceilings. The room that we stayed in was huge, very comfy and well furnished. Nat turned the heat on as he showed us the room and 15 minutes later the temperature was perfect and remained that way our entire stay. We enjoyed 2 quiet days there and were able to catch up on a bit of work since the Marine House had WiFi with a pretty fast connection. The breakfasts at the Marine House were great – the complete “English breakfast” with eggs to order, bacon, large sausages, tomato, toast, assorted jams and jellies, butter, assorted cereals, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, milk, orange juice and more. The Marine House is in a great location with easy parking, in a quiet neighborhood very near the university. Olympia_P_S – Olympia, WA, SUA

  • We stayed here overnight with my parents during a week long roadtrip around Ireland. We found the place absolutely gorgeous – immaculate and clean. About 15 minutes walk from town centre/restaurants. The place is absolutely massive. The lady owner was very courteous and helpful for us. We would recommend this B&B. A TripAdvisor Member – London
